Adult Psychiatric Services
At Banyan Community Health, we offer comprehensive adult mental health services at multiple locations in the Miami-Dade County and Broward County areas. We focus on “whole patient” care, which means that we have integrated behavioral and primary health services, with our providers working together to treat a range of physical and mental health conditions regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.
Outpatient Behavioral Health Services
In addition to offering inpatient care at various residential centers, we provide outpatient adult behavioral health services including:
- Individual and Group Therapy
- Family and Peer Support Groups
- Medication Education, Treatment and Management
- Laboratory and Pharmacy Services
- Psychiatric Assessments and Treatment
- Co-occurring Disorders Outpatient Program
- Prevention Programs
Our team includes experienced Board Certified Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, and Psychiatric Physician Assistants who are trained to provide integrated treatment of co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders using best practices that promote better health.
We also operate a Drop-In Center, where individuals struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues can escape daily stigmas and receive compassionate care to help them focus on building daily living skills, socialization, employment skills, and more.
Inpatient Behavioral Health Services
We operate four inpatient behavioral health centers in South Florida.
Dual Diagnosis Residential Program
We work with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) to provide counseling and support to individuals with a criminal background who have co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders.
Residential Treatment Program
At our Residential Treatment Program (CERP) we provide long-term, intensive treatment for individuals who have criminal personality characteristics, addictions, and family, education, and employment issues.
Crisis Stabilization Unit
Banyan Community Health’s Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) works in place of hospitalization (voluntary or involuntary) or incarceration to serve people experiencing acute psychiatric or emotional distress.
Centralized Receiving Facility
Our Centralized Receiving Facility (CRF) is at 3800 W. Flagler, in the same building as our Crisis Stabilization Unit. Here, we evaluate adults in need of stabilization or acute intervention and coordinate appropriate treatment for them.
Case Management
Our experienced case managers provide necessary care to individuals with complex needs by coordinating care and treatment, also linking consumers with additional resources to help them develop a strong support system.
