Pediatric Case Management

Our case managers help our youth patients gain access to services so they can meet their mental health needs. The primary goal of general and targeted case management is to prevent the need for a higher level of care by assisting individuals in gaining access to necessary medical, social, educational and other services. Our specially trained case managers in in Miami-Dade and Broward counties help connect adults, children and families with attaining resources such as medical, social, educational and support services

Community and School-Based Education Programs

The mental health and behavioral specialists at Banyan are available to lead educational programs in schools and other community settings. Our evidence-based prevention programs are designed to educate youth on a variety of topics, including drugs and alcohol, bullying, health and wellness, peer pressure, social relationships, and the influence that social media has on today’s generation.

Student Assistance Program

Prevention and early intervention specialists provide care for middle school and high schools in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Banyan Community Health provides services to students who are either referred by the school counselors or school administrations. Trained Behavioral Care specialists meet with students for check-ins, counseling and mentoring, drop-out or suspension prevention, substance-abuse counseling, mediation, social media bullying, grief counseling, help during a personal crisis, or to help find community resources.
