Adolescent & Child Outpatient Mental Health Services

Observing the behavior of our children is a natural part of good parenting. It’s essential to protecting their emotional health and well-being and to setting the stage for how well they do in life.

Adolescents and younger children will always have better and worse moments, but when you see significant changes in mood or behavior, your child may be struggling with an emotional or mental health problem that needs professional attention. These behaviors can take many forms, some more severe than others, including:

  • Sadness, Anger, Anxiety
  • Emotional Withdrawal
  • Attention problems or hyperactivity
  • Learning difficulties
  • Drug or alcohol use
  • Truancy, running away
  • Poor social and interpersonal skills
  • Attachment to risky peers
  • Legal involvement
  • Resistant or “acting out” behavior

If you observe these or similar behaviors in your child, act now by calling us. It can make a difference in their long-term health and well-being.

We help parents better understand emotional and mental health symptoms in their children and what they can do to help. Mental health counseling and psychotherapy can reduce destructive behaviors and patterns of thought in children, increasing impulse control and cultivating healthy attitudes and healthier behavioral routines.

We work closely with families to relieve the sources and symptoms of emotional distress while developing their capacity to cope with emotional and mental health conditions.
